My Very First Fabric Collection

I have an exciting news to share today.

If you follow me on Instagram, you probably already heard. I am officially a fabric designer!! Yesss, my first fabric collection Sky Gazing with PBS Fabrics is being shipped out into fabric stores all over the world. PBS Fabrics is a premium fabric manufacturer that works with fabulous designers I look up to and I am just so honored to be part of their designer community. I reached out to them a year ago with my portfolio, and it was truly a pinch-me moment when they said YES.

Love for Sewing

Since I started creating pattern designs, it has been my biggest dream to work with a fabric company. I loved sewing since very young (I started using a sewing machine at 5). Touching pretty fabrics and sewing with them always made me happy. If I knew there was a way to be a fabric designer, I probably would have dreamt of it. But I had no idea about it back then. Instead I dreamed of becoming a fashion designer and went on to major Clothing & Textiles in college.

What happened next is a long winded story of me turning to statistics and quantitative marketing, and realizing that they weren't for me.
ANYWAYS, amongst all I lovingly create these days, I feel I came full circle to be releasing a fabric collection.

Inspirations

I have always been mesmerized by sky's beauty. It is vast and so high to reach, yet always there for us when we look up. In my Sky Gazing collection, I aspire to share the emotions my everyday sky evokes. I colored each design with splashes of orange, pinks, purples and blues reflecting the sky full of dreamy clouds and twinkling stars.

Thank you for listening to my story. I hope it can inspire you to keep chasing your dream. :) Oh, and don't forget to look up into the sky once in a while, and enjoy its beauty!

P.S. Did you know that I have notepads and washi tapes with these Sky Gazing designs on? Check them out on my Etsy shop. They’re sure to brighten up the corner or your desk!
