I am Jean Choe, an artist and surface designer based in California, U.S. 

Color is my biggest source of inspiration.

I understand how colors in everyday life can affect peopleโ€™s moods, and gravitate towards bright and cheerful colors.

 

I also find inspiration from nature, music, my family and many other things in my everyday life.

 
 
 
 

I enjoy the process of mulling over abstract ideas and emotions, and letting them out onto paper.

 

I am passionate about finding out old furniture at thrift stores and repainting them to give new life. 

I started using a sewing machine when I was 5. Did I mention it was the most joyful moment in my life when my designs got printed on fabric and I was able to sew things with it?
